"But even after making reasonable assumptions about these influences, inflation has remained elevated and hard to explain," said Allan Monks at JP Morgan.

Windows 7 SP1 is now out in the wild

Microsoft has issued the first service pack (SP) for Windows 7. The update brings with it the usual reliability and security enhancements users have come to expect and is the first major tweak to the OS since its release back in 2009. "Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1) is an important update that includes previously released security, performance, and stability updates for Windows 7," Microsoft said.
