The research, ‘What Holds Women Back?’ comes courtesy of Opportunity Now, Business in the Community’s gender campaign, and asked over 850 line managers to pinpoint the barriers to women’s progress at work. It turns out the sexes disagree as to where the biggest hurdles lie.

Student entrepreneurship will receive a boost this week when a grassroots university network relaunches as a charity and the Government opens the door to possible public funding. The National Consortium of University
Entrepreneurs (NACUE), a network of 70 student-led enterprise societies with over 40,000 members, has ambitious plans to expand further. On Wednesday it will unveil its new charitable status and the private sector sponsors that have pledged financial resource to help its cause.
