Apprenticeships make business sense argues Jones Bros, a family-owned civil engineering firm based in Ruthin, North Wales. The company has just opened its new training centre and has seven apprentices on its books – six trainee plant operators and one civil engineer. “We definitely see a huge value in running something like this,” says Ruth Jones, 27, who works in the business with her father Huw and sister Helen.
