There are, though, no shortage of people out there trying to make it more complicated than it is.Of course, as journalists, we would say this – but it’s not just a case of lulling potential sources into a false sense of security.Some companies, doubtless, need a meticulously constructed marketing plan within which a tightly-structured PR campaign plays a role but, for most, it’s just a case of bunging out a press release when you have something significant to report and getting yourself quoted in relevant features.
